I know that most of you have that book Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude by Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Stone before and wondered if that’s what I want to talk about here. But that’s not the case; I want to share with you a very interesting thing I learnt today which I know will also interest you.
I was reading a book today that I’ve read before but just decided to go through it again, this book is also by Napoleon Hill, there are some wonderful tips on how to achieve success in life using the power of Auto-Suggestion that I came across as I was reading.
However, I know that most of you would have read that book and have also learnt what I’m about to share now, but for those of you that have not read it before; it’s good you’re here now as you will learn Freedigitalphotos.net if you practice it with dedication. And for those of you that have read it before, let this be a form of reminder to you.
The name of the book in question is THINK AND GROW RICH, by the end of this post; I will leave a link where you will download the pdf version of the book if you want to read more of it.
Easter is already by the corner which means that time is really running very fast as usual and the earlier we start getting serious, the better for us. Remember that Time is Money so, manage it well. Before I continue, I will like to wish you all a Happy Easter in Advance.
SUCCESS THOUGH A POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE.
In order to achieve success and victory in life, there are many things you must first put in place which will aid your quest for success, and once you’ve acquired all the necessary elements of success, then victory will be yours. Below are the things you will have to do in order to conquer Failure, Misery and Poverty.
I will like you to say the following with me.
1. I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my definite purpose in life therefore, I demand of myself persistent and continuous action towards its attainment. And I here and now promise to render such action.
2. I realize that the dominating thought of my mind will eventually reproduce themselves in outwards physical action and gradually transform themselves into physical reality. Therefore, I will concentrate my thoughts for 30 minutes daily upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to become thereby creating in my mind a clear mental picture of that person.
3. I know that through the principles of auto-suggestion, any desire that I persistently hold in my mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means of attaining the object back of it. Therefore, I will also devote 10 minutes daily to demanding of myself the development of SELF-CONFIDENCE.
4. I have clearly written down the descriptions of my definite chief aim in life and I will never stop trying until I have developed sufficient self confidence for its attainment.
5. I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure unless built upon truth and justice. Therefore, I will never engage in any transaction that will never benefit all whom it affects. I will succeed by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use and the cooperation of other people. I will induce others so serve me because of my willingness to serve others. I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness and cynicism by developing love for all humanity because I know that a negative attitude towards others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me because I will believe in them and myself.
6. I will sign my name to this formula, commit it to memory and repeat it aloud at least once a day with full fate that it will gradually influence my thoughts and actions so that I will be self reliance and become a very successful person.
There you have it all.
It will be better if you will print these words out and paste it somewhere that you will always see it in your room. According to Napoleon, back of this formula is a nature which no man has been able to explain. It has baffled the scientists of all ages; the psychologists have named this law…”Auto-Suggestion”.
The important fact about this law is…. It works for the glory and success of mankind if used constructively. The sub-conscious mind makes no distinction between constructive and destructive thought impulse. It works with the materials we feed it through our thought impulse.
I will conclude this post with the following poem which is also from this same book.
If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you won’t.
If you like to win but you think you can’t, it’s most certain that you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost. For out of the world, we find that Success begins with a fellow’s will. It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are.
You’ve got to think high in order to rise; you’ve got to be sure of yourself before you can win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man.
But sooner or later, THE MAN WHO WINS IS THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN.

Inspiring post Theodore!
I haven’t read the book you mentioned, though heard about it a lot and also read a few reviews about it, and here I have it in-front of me again 🙂
I do believe in having a positive mindset as that’s what really keeps you going. If you think positive, you will always remain positive, so it’s all in the mind as they say. But if you don’t do that and tend to think on the negative – you will be surrounded by negative thoughts that tend to pull you down.
I liked the exercise you’ve written – something that we all need to say on a daily basis or write and paste it on the wall as you mentioned. Lovely poem in the end…and yes…THE MAN WHO WINS IS THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN.- This surely IS a fact too.
Thanks for sharing this motivational post with us. Have a nice week, and Happy Easter in advance to you as well. 🙂
Theodore Nwangene says
Thanks a lot Harleena,
The man who wins is really the man who thinks he can, its very bad that most people have cause themselves misery by their own mindsets. You know what they said that If you think you can do a thing, you’re right and if you think you cannot do a thing, you’re also right.
It all lies in our mind, its the only thing that can make or break us. I therefore advice that we use it wisely.
I’m very happy that you enjoyed the post dear, it gives me joy to see your comment here.
I’ve trying trying to comment on your blog, but it kept telling me about javascript, i have it enabled but it won’t allow me to comment. I’ve also tried it on all my browsers. Don’t know why.

Harleena Singh says
Sorry for the Javascript error, though no one else is having such a problem. Let me know if it still persists even now. And no, I am not a Christian, but I love sharing and wishing all my friends whatever the occasion 🙂

Hi Friend,
Seems like your site has finally allowed me to comment.
I finally used Internet Explorer and it worked. So what religion are you?
Thanks for answering my question. Hope I’m not being inquisitive?

Hi Theodore!
I haven’t read this one yet, but I will give it a try – I’ve also heard about it before.
Best regards!
Theodore Nwangene says
You really have to read that book,
I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Thanks for commenting.
Enstine Muki says
Oh yes Theodore, I had this book man. It helps reprogram your mindset. success in life is more about positive thinking.
Most of us grew up in a twisted environment and our minds are already programmed to see things from the negative point. I love this book man. My copied is hanging someone in one of my fallen HDD. Thanks for hosting this copy. I’ll pick up up right away.
I’m excited about it again
Theodore Nwangene says
You’re right my man,
Most of us already have our mind programmed to always see things from the negative point, but we’re the only one that can take our self out of such mindset. Its a myth which can also be broken.
I’m happy to hear that you have this book, now go and read it again man.
Thanks for commenting.

Thanks for reminding me about that extract from Napoleon Hill’s book, Theodore – I read it a while ago and actually did commit that section to memory, but haven’t thought about it for a while.
The mind is a very powerful thing – it’s amazing what we can achieve if we simply ‘put our minds’ to it!
Thanks, Theodore, for an inspirational post,
Sue
Theodore Nwangene says
Hi Sue,
The mind is really the most vital tool we all have, but the truth is that most people usually use it against themselves. I’m glad you’ve read the book too. Thanks for visiting Sue.

You’re right Desmond,
If we must achieve success, we must first develop a positive mental attitude within ourselves.
Welcome to my blog Desmond, glad to have you here.

Great thoughts and poem. I read Think and Grow Rich a few years ago and it’s a great book!
Theodore Nwangene says
Glad you’ve also read it Dan,
Now, what is the most important lesson you learnt from it?
Dan Black says
It’s been several years but I think having a good mindset no matter the situation is essential when it comes to being successful and feeling fulfilled.
Theodore Nwangene says
You’re right Dan,
Ones you have a positive mindset, you’ll always succeed in whatever you do.
Thanks for responding.

Hey Theodore,
Ah, what a classic. I’m surprised that not everyone has read this book yet. If you’ve been online for any length of time I’m sure it’s been recommended numerous times to read. I love that it was written so long ago but all of what it teaches you can see how they relate today.
I remember going to a convention a few years back so I downloaded the audio so I could listen to it in the car because it was a four hour drive one way. I guess I’ve read it about three times now. Really great for teaching you about having a positive mindset.
Thanks for sharing this with us because they are great lessons for us all.
~Adrienne
Theodore Nwangene says
I know you must have read it too Adrienne,
That book is really a must read for everyone. Napoleon tried a lot there and I’m not sure if he will be ever forgotten because of that book.
I first read it 2 years ago too and is still enjoying it till today in fact, i have the android version of it on my phone and i always uses it to keep myself busy when I’m not doing anything.
Thanks for the visit Adrienne.

Theodore, I hardly read many books, but I do believe in having a good mental attitude because I also believe your day goes the way your mental processes go.
I appreciate you for sharing these books with us. I am more of a visual learner and a concept intellectual.
I was once told by a friend of mine that I was one of the smartest people she knew who did not read books or any printed materials.
It made me think about how we learn. Great article.
Theodore Nwangene says
I’m also very surprise to hear that you don’t read many books Michael,
And your friend must be very correct on that statement. I also wonder how you learn man. You rock.
But i will equally advice that you pick this book and read, I’m sure you will like it man.
Thanks for coming.
Sapna says
HI Theodore,
Great share!
Even though I’ve heard about this book but didn’t get the opportunity to read this one. I’d say positive attitude is the key to success, it’s all in the mind. I’ve seen people faltering because of their negative attitude.
The positive attitude should be displayed in our everyday life as well.
Thanks Theodore I’m going to read this book as and when my work on the current post is finished.
Sapna
Theodore Nwangene says
Hi Sapna,
I always enjoy your comment. Hope you’ve downloaded it. Just take time and concentrate on your post so that we will enjoy it.Lol
Once you finish, go and read that book, I’m sure you will learn a lot. Don’t forget to tell me what you learnt from it after reading. Not an assignment.
Sylviane Nuccio says
Hi Theodore,
Well, as a life coach who’s teaching exactly what you are talking about here, I can confirm that those tips are very good ones.
It’s a real blessing for society that people, nowadays, are thirsty for personal development and for learning how they can get MORE in life.
It used to be a time where people just accepted life as it defaulted on them. I’ve seen that happened all throughout my life, but it ALWAYS bothered me. Never liked that concept. I think this was the coach in me already.
Thanks for sharing this great information.
Theodore Nwangene says
Well done Sylviane,
I have visited your blog where you share such topics and i agree with you, you’re really good at what you’re doing.
I’m sure you’ll impact many positivity to as many as those that want to learn.
Thanks for coming dear and more strength to your elbows.
Mary Stephenson says
Hi Theodore
I agree with your post. For how long ago Think and Grow Rich was written it still stands to day as an excellent platform to live ones’ life on.
We usually sabotage ourselves with self-doubt and then wonder why things are not working out the way we planned. What a great reminder to participate in our own lives to achieve success.
Mary
Theodore Nwangene says
H Mary,
I don’t think that book will ever be forgotten in a hurry, its one of the best motivational book I’ve ever read.
You’re also right, we always cause ourselves harm by our thought unknowingly.
Thanks for coming.

Hey Theodore great post.. this is my first time on your blog and I like it so far. Yes, whatever you focus on you will bring to reality. Keeping a positive mental attitude will keep your mind open to what you need to do to get ahead. I read Think and Grow Rich and didn’t finish Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude. At first I really didn’t understand, but through experience it started to really sink in and I had all of these “Ah-ha” moments. Thanks for sharing!
Theodore Nwangene says
So happy to have you here Smith,
Its good you’ve also read the book. I’m sure must have learnt a lot from it so far. Please don’t just forget to put everything you’ve learnt to practice.
Thanks for the visit. Hope to see you here again.

Hey Theodore, I am not familiar with “Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude” but now you got me interested in checking it out.
I started reading Think And Grow Rich (I bought the Kindle version) a few weeks ago but life got in the way and I had to stop at the time.
I’m planning to go back to reading soon and that will be actually the first book I’m going to read but right now all my focus is on finishing my wordpress training.
I also loved the positive mental points you outlined, I want to write a manifesto for myself that I can read outloud each and every day before going to sleep and right after getting out of bed.
Success by afirmation it’s REAL because I have experienced this myself a few times before.
Great article man and I think you should DEFINITELY write some books… you have a special talent with words.
Sergio
Theodore Nwangene says
Thanks my man,
I really like and appreciate your kind words. It has really made my day you know. I’m glad you’ve purchased the book and i will suggest you try your best to finish it up. You could just be reading one page/day before you know it, you’ll finish it all.
Yea, I’m also planning on writing a book soon in fact, its part of my 2013 goal and with people like you out there, i know i can do it. So, thanks for reminding me bro.
How is the training going so far? More strength to your elbows bro.
BTW: Are you using skype?
