How to Increase Your Twitter Engagement Beyond your Expectation

Twitter has been one of my best social media network over the years and, I’m sure you also love it as much as i do but, are you really getting the result you want from it? Twitter has lots of potential and can really skyrocket your blog traffic to a point you never assumed possible if you know all the ins and outs of it.

However, the point rememains….How can you achieve this? I came across a very interesting infographic by Neil Petal and decided to share it with you in case you’ve not read it yet. You know, blogging is all about sharing informations and ideas and, if you know me too well by now, you can attest that i never see something i know will be beneficial to you before and kept it all to my self. especially infographics. I love sharing them with you because, the internet is a very wide place and, you cannot see all the informations out there.

Because of this, we need to be sharing the ones we discovered with one another so we can all benefit from it right? Good. A lot of people including you and I has a twitter account but the truth is that its not all of us that knows how to make good use of it, how to use it to grow our business and so on, which is why we always need to learn from the people that are already there like Neil.

Therefore, if your desire is to increase your twitter engagement tremendously then, the infographic below is meant for you. I also read this post by Dee Ann Rice about how to navigate Triberr and, as you know, Triberr is one of the best places through which you can connect with many other bloggers and also boost your twitter traffic so, if you’re still finding Triberr a bit complicated to navigate, check out her post here.

  1. Hi Theodore,

That surely is a wonderful infographic and I’d seen it earlier too :)

I think the stats say it all, and what amazes me most is the that people love o tweet the most on weekends as per these stats, though I find very few people doing that, or perhaps there is less of promotional or link tweeting and more of the other one.

Triberr IS awesome, and if anyone hasn’t joined, they must. Most of my tweets on my blog are from there, and it’s also a place where you get to meet so many other fellow bloggers, read new posts, get hold of catchy titles too for your future posts – ideas I mean, so it’s a must place. I joined a few months back and it’s just doing pretty good for me. Join the right tribes and follow the rules, and you are done.

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead :)

  2. I think it is better to make use of the available options to interact with customers, followers and Co workers through Twitter. The Direct messaging with a picture and the broad search. I heard about these two updates about Twitter just this day. :)

I found this post shared on Kingged.com, the Internet marketing content aggregator site, and I “kingged” it and left this comment.

  3. Increasing engagement in Twitter is what many businesses desire to do. For many who have not been able to maximize the use of this social network, I guess this infographic would readily open up new levels of inspiration and productive action. Thanks for sharing this infographic, and I have personal takeaways from the stats given on the “what to tweet” section.
I have left the above comment in kingged.com, the content syndication website for Internet marketers where this post was shared.

  4. Hello Theodore,

Thanks for sharing this infographic! I have never really got the results I crave on Twitter so I guess I’ll be trying out the suggestions outlined especially adding pictures to my tweets, asking my followers to retweet, tweeting on weekends more and tweeting only on the hours specified.

I’ll testify to my results. And, thanks for sharing – do have a great day!

  5. Theodore – I do agree with those times but if you post frequently you can more times to them. They are a great guideline. I love using Triberr and the Buffer with Twitter. I don’t like to put things on full automatiion. Twitter is the social network I spend most of my time on. It’s the BEST by FAR! That was a great post by Neil too. I found it interesting about the link clicks. Thanks fo sharing Theordore and have yourself a great weekend there.

Thanks for the share, Theodore :)

This data does encourage me to keep working on Twitter :D (In terms of results, I can’t measure much now since I don’t have a follow. Engagement wise, everything is increasing every month – replies, RT reach and so forth :D).

I am also planning not to put much effort into FB (I could definitely spend that time on Twitter).

As for Triberr, I do have an account, but it’s not active now (I am planning to look into it once I setup my blog).

Anyways, thank you for sharing :) Hope you have a great weekend!

  7. Hello Theodore,

  8. Theodore, those are impressive stats. I am getting more involved with twitter. I could tell there must be some rules I am not aware of because people like yourself are enjoying something I am missing.

In two weeks I have been tweeting more, following more, and sharing more, I have been getting good results.

At this pace, I expect even more results. thanks for sharing.

  11. Hey Theodore,

I’ve seen similar infographics about Twitter but this information is good. However, I don’t exactly agree with it all because I think it has to do with your particular followers. Just like what Harleena said, I find that on Twitter and on Facebook that the interaction is down starting on Friday through Sunday at least for my friends. I’m also thinking that maybe the tweets have to do with a certain age group and topics they tweet about so for us bloggers maybe we just like a little break on the weekends, I sure know I do.

I think as far as when your followers are on to see your tweets again depends on your particular followers. I just think that overall these stats are probably spot on but for certain people they may fluctuate some.

I appreciate you sharing this though, I’m always interested when someone shares things about Twitter that may help me. I’m open my friend! ;-)

Hope you’re enjoying your week and thanks again.

  12. Totally awesome infographic! However, following these steps alone won’t necessarily lead to more engagements. A lot has to do with the quality of followers-are they following because you follow them (and then they don’t click as often) or are there a lot of genuine followers?

Thanks for the share as Twitter is becoming more and more important to anyone that blogs!

  15. Hi my man,
Nice inforgraphic you did and a lot have also been said here.
I personally respond to tweet once there’s a request from the author to retweet. This goes inline with the point you made clear about asking for retweet. Thanks for sharing.
