Getting your blog off the ground is not as tricky as people make it out to be. If you follow some really basic steps then it can be as easy as eating a piece of pie. I have discovered a couple of great blogs that have taught me something very unique and extremely rare when it comes to blog traffic. What I have learned so far will benefit every other blogger out there. Read on to find out more.
However, If you speak to bloggers about how many readers they had when they started out first, most of them will say absolutely NONE. They will tell you that it takes weeks if not months to get small simple blog off the ground and get people reading, reviewing, and subscribing to their blog.
But how would you like it if I tell you that you do not have to wait that long to see results on your blog? How would you like it if you didn’t even have to spend days promoting your blog?
Well I am going to tell you how you can get hundreds if not a thousand visitors to your blog in its first week. There are a few things that you will have to do. The steps are really simple to follow and you can either do it all in one day or you can spread it out spending no more than half an hour or so a day over the span of about a couple weeks for significant results.
Content
Many bloggers will start out with one to five post on their first day and then post once a day or week. This is the first thing that they are doing wrong to get their blog off the ground. You ask all of the bloggers that have done this and they will tell you that it took a week to a month before they started to get readers.
Having five posts when your blog is started is not enough to get people to hang around and keep reading. You have to have enough posts pre-written so by the time your blog goes live you can post them all one after another. This will allow a visitor to be able to have a look around at what your writing and the more they read the higher the chance that they will subscribe or come back for more.
To get returning visitors from the start you have to have ATLEAST 20-30 post pre-written and ready to post as soon as your blog goes live. If you have 20-30 quality posts ready to go you can be assured that your visitors will stick around and read.
I know you may have read or heard about this many times which makes it a no brainer. The truth is that If you write great content, the traffic will just come. People will always come to your blog looking for more great posts and other popular sites will start linking to you.
If you can write up to 5 blog posts a week you will surely have a good following but its does not really matter how many posts you craft out a week, for instance: if I did two really good posts a week, spent two or three times the amount effort and time into making sure the post would make their jaws drop, then my following would be incredible.
Think about it this way, you create a blog post called “5 Ways to make money online”, sounds great and you would probably check it out. But now imagine you created a post called “5 unknown Secrets That Made me 6 Figures Last Year on Autopilot”, you would be getting linked to all over the place; the difference in the two titles is that one is used daily and one isn’t.
You have to provide something unique and make sure you differentiate yourself from others. The main thing is to write a valuable post and try to have a schedule whereby you will have a particular day and time that you publish new articles so your readers will always know when to expect something from you.
This may sound really hard but it isn’t, instead of just offering a post about how to become a pro poker player, you could also include a list of top earning poker players, poker tricks and how to shuffle cards like a pro. The big thing is just keep offering more value, time after time!
Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization also known as SEO is probably the most essential thing to look, the main reason is that if you do it well, you’ll always get constant targeted FREE traffic from Google and other search engines. This will allow you to really live a life of financial freedom and to have a passive income, so that you can really make money while you sleep. Work with the search engines in mind, every time you create a blog post make sure you call your blog post something that people will be searching for in Google.
Tagging
While i was researching blogs and blog promotion I came across something called Technorati Tagging. I have never seen this before and I didn’t have a clue what they did so I looked into it further. I found out that Technorati Tags are actually able to deliver large amounts of traffic. The way it works is as you’re writing your blog posts, when you come across a word that could categorize your post you add [tag] and close the word with a [/tag) (change the ) with a ]) around it. This will ‘tag’ that word and once your blog is pinged to Technorati your blog will be placed under the category of that word. When someone searches a word that you have tagged your blog will show up.
Social Bookmarking
You will definitely see results by social bookmarking. It is very simple and all it requires is a little time. All you simply have to do is notify them of your post. That may sounds so hard but it’s really simple. I managed to find a great list of the best social bookmarking sites. Take your pick of these top 20. They are all great and will improve your search engine results greatly.

Tell Other Bloggers
If you are after highly targeted traffic then this is a MUST. Before your blog goes live, search through Google and other search engines for blog that are highly ranked on the topic you are writing on.
Create some personalized emails for each of the blogs you find (I recommend around 30-40 as you should receive 75% positive results). Do not email the bloggers until you have made your initial posts. By notifying other bloggers about your blog you will get the ‘word’ out and you should receive some good traffic and links from these other blogs.
Blog Commenting:
Live 10 great comments on at least 10 top blogs that are in your niche, remember this should be on a regular basis. However, I recommend you comment on dofollow blogs that is blogs that makes your name linkable so that their readers can click back to your blog. I also suggest you comment on blogs that has comment luv plugin enabled, what this plugin does is whenever you leave a comment, it will also display your latest post on the blog you commented on.
Forum Marketing:
Just like commenting a few value-adding contributions to relevant forums with links back to your blog in your signature file will bring visitors to your blog. Again, the more time and energy you invest in establishing a credible profile in a forum, the more traffic you will send to your blog.
Free Report:
This one is very fruitful, especially if you cover some great information that is not available anywhere else. A short PDF document say like 10-50 pages long, released via your blog and/or linking to your blog is a fantastic blog marketing tool. If you strike a really popular topic you will build significant traffic. Example of such ebook is here… Click to view
Send some links before expecting to receive any:
One of the best ways to get the attention of another blogger is give before you receive. Send a link their way in one of your articles and your blog will appear on their “radar”. Do this often enough and they will take notice and hopefully link back to you, especially if you have great content on your blog worth linking to.
Start with Your Peers:
A peer is someone in a similar situation with you. Generally speaking, in the world of blogging, a person is your peer if you share a similar interest, cover a similar topic area or target the same audience, and your current level of exposure or traffic is around the same. One of the mistakes new bloggers make when they hear the advice that they should go out and make friends with other bloggers is they shoot for the stars immediately.
Another Blog traffic generation methods you should not neglect is Social Media traffic. This has come to stay and it can give you lots of traffic if you really do it well. Create account on Facebook and Twitter to start with and find other bloggers that are related to you and follow them. Click here to read more about social media.
If you do all this correctly then not to long after you made your first post you should be receiving some quality views and Blog Traffic This has to be the easiest web promotion for your blog ever. You will be receiving many returning readers if you have followed these steps because the traffic is so targeted. Every other thing is all about repeating what works for you, if a particular method works well for you, then keep repeating it for more result before implementing another.

But the only way you can show appreciation and help yourself too is by applying what you read. Remember success is %99 failure and doing nothing will only get you one thing……NOTHING . So get to work.

Most of blogger are not paying attention on content; they are just building backlinks and paying more attention on SEO.
I will suggest them first write content in details which gives more detailed information with any topic that means readers loves your blog and comes again and again.
It is best and finest way than any other.

Hi Nikhil,
You’ve said it all and i can’t agree more. Content they say is king and that is true. If you keep on building backlinks and not updating your blog, Google will soon slap you and you’ll just lose everything.
